SysDVR Platforms & Compatibility

One sysmodule on the console, one client on the receiving device. Here is what genuinely runs SysDVR, what only works with a workaround, and what does not work at all — no maybes dressed up as yeses.

DeviceStatusNotes
Windows PC (client)YesNative x64 client. You may need the latest Microsoft Visual C++ redistributables — the standard build does not need a separate .NET install.
macOS — Apple SiliconYesNative arm64 build. The app is unsigned, so macOS may ask you to allow it on first launch.
macOS — IntelYesNative x64 build, same unsigned-app note as Apple Silicon.
Linux (client)Yesx64 Flatpak build. ARM boards such as Raspberry Pi work only through the manual dotnet install.
Android phone / tablet (client)YesOfficial APK, GitHub only. Android 10+ on 64-bit devices; 32-bit support was added in v6.2.
Android TV / TV boxesLimitedMany boxes are older or 32-bit and may refuse to install; weak hardware may also decode too slowly for smooth play.
iPhone / iPad (iOS)No clientThere is no iOS app. Workaround: Simple Network (RTSP) mode into an RTSP-capable player app.
Nintendo Switch / V2 / OLED / Lite (console side)Yes, with CFWThe sysmodule runs on Switch 1 models that are running Atmosphère custom firmware. No CFW, no SysDVR.
Nintendo Switch 2NoSysDVR requires custom firmware on a Switch 1. There is no Switch 2 version.

The stream itself is identical everywhere: 720p at 30fps (H.264) with uncompressed 16-bit PCM 48kHz stereo audio — a hardware limit of the console’s video recording service. No platform, client or setting raises it to 1080p or 60fps.
