SysDVR compatibility and setup notes for every platform and console model.
Two honest answers up front. First: there is no official Tesla overlay for SysDVR. As of the current v6.3 release, the author ships no overlay, and neither the official wiki nor the project repository documents one — mode switching happens in the SysDVR Settings app, not an in-game overlay. Second: the thing that actually decides…
SysDVR has two sides with very different requirements. The console side is strict — a hacked Switch 1 running custom firmware is non-negotiable. The receiver side is lenient: almost any Windows PC, Mac, Linux machine or Android device from the last several years can receive the 720p30 stream. This page is the full, honest matrix….
The rule is simple: if a game supports the Switch’s built-in video recording, SysDVR can stream it. SysDVR doesn’t capture your screen — it redirects the feed from the console’s recording service, the same one that saves a clip when you long-press the capture button. Games that allow clip recording work out of the box;…
No. SysDVR cannot do 1080p, and it cannot do 60fps. Every SysDVR stream — USB, network, any client, any platform — is 720p at 30fps in H.264. This is not a setting you haven’t found, a limitation of the free version, or something a patch unlocks. It is a hard cap of how SysDVR works,…
SysDVR has no dedicated Android TV app. The official Android client is built for phones and tablets, and while it can sometimes be installed on TV boxes, the dependable way to watch SysDVR on a television is different: put the console in Simple Network mode and open its RTSP stream in a player app on…
There is no SysDVR app for iPhone or iPad — the SysDVR client was never released for iOS, and the developer publishes no iOS version anywhere. If you find something in the App Store using the SysDVR name, it is not the official client. That doesn’t leave iOS owners with nothing. SysDVR’s Simple Network mode…
No. SysDVR does not work on the Nintendo Switch 2 — as of October 2026 there is no SysDVR version for Switch 2, and no way to run it there. This isn’t a missing download or a setting: SysDVR is a custom-firmware sysmodule for the original Switch, and Switch 2 has no public CFW path,…
Yes — SysDVR works on the Switch OLED and every other Mariko-based Switch (the revised V2 model and the Switch Lite), as long as the console is running custom firmware. SysDVR is a sysmodule that runs under CFW, and it doesn’t distinguish between hardware revisions: if Atmosphère boots, SysDVR can run. The catch is entirely…
Yes — SysDVR works on the Nintendo Switch Lite exactly the way it works on a regular Switch: same sysmodule, same clients, same 720p30 stream. The one condition is the same as always: the console must be running custom firmware (Atmosphère). SysDVR is a background sysmodule for hacked consoles, and there is no version for…
