Fixes for SysDVR connection, video, audio and boot problems.
Since installing SysDVR, USB homebrew tools like Goldleaf, nxmtp or Twili refuse to launch or connect. Nothing is broken and nothing is corrupted: SysDVR is holding the console’s USB interface, and those tools need the same interface. Only one thing can own it at a time, so while SysDVR is active in USB mode, USB…
The video is streaming beautifully and there is no sound at all. Complete silence has a different set of causes than audio that is merely out of sync, so do not start with the sync toggles. SysDVR sends audio as 16-bit PCM at 48kHz, stereo, uncompressed — a plain, universally supported format — which means…
You plug the Switch into your PC, switch SysDVR to USB mode, and Windows shrugs: unknown device, or the client simply never connects. The most likely cause is a missing or outdated USB driver — Windows does not ship with the right one for the console’s USB interface, and SysDVR needs it installed exactly once….
SysDVR’s stream is a modest 720p30 feed, so when it lags, stutters or the audio drifts away from the picture, the bottleneck is almost never raw bandwidth. The most likely causes are the client’s audio/video sync keeping frames waiting, and the quality of the local connection between console and PC. Both are fixable in minutes….
Your console booted fine, you copied SysDVR to the SD card, and now Atmosphère will not start. Before you panic: your console is not bricked, and SysDVR itself is rarely the real problem. The most likely cause is too many sysmodules competing for the console’s limited system memory — heavy ones like sys-ftpd are the…
You open the SysDVR Settings app and it greets you with one of two warnings: SysDVR is “not running”, or the installed version is “outdated”. Both sound serious, and both are usually trivial. The most likely cause of “not running” is that you opened the app too soon — the full SysDVR sysmodule starts about…
You connect to the console, the client opens, and instead of your game you get a black window. This is the single most common SysDVR complaint, and it is rarely a broken install. The most likely cause is the simplest one: the video player is still waiting for a keyframe. The console sends a full…
When SysDVR-Client opens and your console never appears in the list, the stream itself is usually fine — the client and the console simply are not discovering each other. Discovery in TCP Bridge mode works by the console advertising itself over your local network with a UDP broadcast, and several common things can block that…
